The birds in Slavic mythology reprisent the messengers from one world to another and are the symbol of transition. Birds carry souls to the world of the dead and bring them back.
Priest had a big role in forming the society by being one of the ruler’s advisers.
Svetovid was the main god of western Slavs with his most important temple at kap Arkona that people from all over Europe visited and brought gifts to. It was also a fortune-telling centre, where, even as far as political and military future goes, priest fortold it through the acts of the sacred white horse.
